In Green Bay, children from Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and St. Joseph's will join the group as they start their journey together. We all start by eating at the world famous Kroll's West Restaurant and eat until our bellies are full so we can get ready for the fun filled week. On to historic Lambeau Field where we get to get out on the hallowed grounds of Lambeau's football field and a tour of the locker room.
From Green Bay we all will travel to Wausau where we will spend five days enjoying winter activities & forming new friendships.
During their stay in Wausau, the children will enjoy such activities as downhill skiing, tubing, four wheeler and snowmobile rides, arts and craft sessions, sleigh rides, campfire & hotdog roasts and disco bowling and much more!
“I started this program in 1997 because I wanted these children to know they are not alone in their struggles with cancer,” Wunsch stated. “Being with other kids who go through the same things they do everyday is comforting for them.” “We hope to promote healthy, long-lasting friendships between the kids to enjoy for a lifetime while empowering them to overcome their illness.”
